End-of-day vs intraday trailing drawdown
Every evaluation covered here has a trailing drawdown, and the two kinds trail very differently. The same trades can pass one and fail the other.
A trailing drawdown is a liquidation line that sits a fixed amount below your account's high point and moves up as the account grows. If your balance touches the line, the evaluation is over. What differs between firms is which high point the line follows, when it moves, and where it stops.
Intraday trailing
The line follows your highest balance including open profit, in real time. If a trade runs up $800 and comes back to break even, the line has still moved up $800. That punishes trades that run up and give back before they close, even when they close at a profit.
End-of-day trailing
The line is reset once a day from your closing balance. Open profit during the day doesn't move it. The line is still enforced during the day at Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures and Tradeify: touching it while a trade is open ends the evaluation. Take Profit Trader's and Lucid's pages are less clear about this, and the replay uses the same stricter reading for them.
Where the line stops
Most evaluations stop trailing once the line reaches a fixed level, usually the starting balance or $100 above it. After that the line no longer moves, so the account has a fixed cushion. Apex evaluations don't describe a lock, so the replay keeps them trailing until you pass.

What this means for your trades
- If your winners often run up a long way before you take profit, or you let open profit come back, an intraday trailing drawdown will cost you passes that an end-of-day one wouldn't.
- If you take large losses inside single days, end-of-day trailing doesn't help: the line is enforced during the day.
- A daily loss limit that pauses trading (at Apex EOD and MyFundedFutures Builder) can stop a bad day before it reaches the trailing line.
The replay shows, for each evaluation, how often your own history would have passed and the exact trade that would have ended each failed attempt.
