Export your trades from Tradovate
Tradovate's Performance report pairs each buy with its sell and gives the profit of each round trip, which is what the replay needs.
- In Tradovate, open Account Reports: the gear icon next to your account name.
- Choose the Performance tab.
- Set the date range. A few months gives the replay enough separate attempts to measure.
- Click Go, then Download Report to save the CSV.
- On Prop Preflight, choose the file. Tradovate writes dates month first; the tool knows that.
The Performance report has the columns symbol, qty, buyPrice, sellPrice, pnl, boughtTimestamp and soldTimestamp.
Tips
- Use Performance, not Orders. The Orders tab lists individual orders without profit, so the replay can't use it. The tool recognizes an Orders file and tells you to switch.
- No MAE or MFE. Tradovate's report doesn't include the worst and best point inside each trade, so the replay can only move your balance at each close. Intraday trailing drawdowns react to open profit, so results for intraday plans run high. The page warns about this.
- Time zone. Set the Times in your file are in menu to the zone your Tradovate account displays.
- Commissions. The tool checks each trade's pnl against its prices to tell whether fees were taken out. Each firm's replay uses that firm's own commissions.
